Ethan Allen Sales Up 21% in Second Quarter

Ethan Allen reported a $14.7 million profit in the quarter ended Dec. 31 from a loss a year earlier as sales rose 21% to $173.3 million, the manufacturer and retailer reported.

Ikea Profit Up 6.1% in 2010

Ikea Group’s worldwide profit rose 6.1% in its 2010 fiscal year to 2.69 billion euros ($3.6 billion), according to a post on its website.

CPSC to Offer Online Product Safety Reporting

Consumers will be able to file complaints or concerns electronically via a new product safety database the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plans for 2011.

The CPSC will launch the database in March as part of www.saferproducts.gov. At that point, consumers can post their product concerns directly online.
