Target Corp. is recalling 69,000 children’s sitting stools that have a stabilizing bar that can crack and cause the product to collapse, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The stools were sold as part of the Circo-brand Chloe & Conner collection. Manufactured in China for youth furniture supplier L. Powell Acquisition Corp., the stools were sold at Target from April 2012 through June 2013 for about $15.
Target has received seven reports of the stools breaking or collapsing and causing a child to fall, CPSC said in an alert published Oct. 29. In five of the reported incidents, bumps, bruises and cuts were reported, the CPSC said.
Consumers have been advised to stop using the products and return them to a Target store for a refund. Consumers can receive more information on the recall by calling Target Guest Relations at (800) 440-0680, or visit www.target.com and click on the product recall section at the bottom of the page.
Editor’s Note: More Chinese crap. Stories like this are way too common. When will we learn not to buy it?
