Vinyl straps great, #30514 rivets are weak

Thus far the vinyl strapping has been great, both holding their look, tautness, and the installation (which I have had a lot of extra practice as discussed in the next sentence). The #30514 rivets on the other hand are WEAK and should not be recommended for seat bottom application. On the 4 chairs, 75% of the seat bottom rivets have broke (none of the backs) and I’ve had to replace them with sturdier plastic rivets I found @ Pep Boys @ $1.80/2. I had extra strapping so I’ve actually installed 3 additional straps (front to back) in a weave on each seat bottom for strength.

NOTE FROM ISLAND COAST: These are the same rivets that are used throughout the industry. We can only assume an issue exists with the installation.
